The Executive Board was called to order at 9:01 a.m. President Thomas was in the Chair. All members were present except Sara Labelle, the reason was acceptable to the Chair.
Local Executive Committee elections
Moved by Thomas/Almeida
Whereas the Ontario government has prohibited gatherings of five or more people; and
Whereas elections for OPSEU/SEFPO local executive committees may have been scheduled to take place during the time where gatherings of five or more people is prohibited;
Therefore be it resolved that all local executive committee elections be postponed until the prohibited gatherings of five or more people is declared over by the Ontario government; and
Be it further resolved that if a local wishes to have elections by alternate means they can ask for permission to the President’s office; and
Be it further resolved that all local executive committee members retain their current status on the LEC until the gatherings of five or more people is allowed and OPSEU/SEFPO returns to its normal operations.
