What is OPSEU/SEFPO?
Established in 1975, the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU) represents over 170,000 public sector employees in the province of Ontario, Canada improving their working conditions, including wages and benefits, and improving their job security.

At just 1.375, OPSEU/SEFPO has some of the lowest union dues in the country.

Workplace and legal experts
OPSEU/SEFPO’s 300+ staff includes experts in bargaining, grievance handling, pensions, benefits, health and safety, pay equity, human rights, communications, campaigns, education, research and organizing.
At no cost to you, we offer extensive courses on everything from bargaining strategies to public campaigning. Plus: we provide annual scholarships to members and/or their dependants.
OPSEU/SEFPO members receive a range of discounts on things like insurance, wireless service, travel, and tickets to the Royal Ontario Museum and the Ontario Science Centre.
Our friendly staff will lay out the process for you in easy-to-understand terms.
OPSEU will train the organizing committee immediately to develope a program of union demands (the improvements you are organizing to achieve).
Sign membership cards
With OPSEU’s help, the committee will then begin its information campaign, where every eligible employee is asked to sign a union membership card.
