Members of OPSEU Local 235 at Participation Lodge held a strong rally at the employer headquarters on Wednesday. October 10. Voicing support for the bargaining team, members called for financial transparency and a return to the bargaining table.
Approximately 50 people were in attendance including members of OPSEU Local 253, Community Living Elmira, members from other locals in the area and OPSEU Executive Board member, Deb Tungett. Rain and hail did not dampen the upbeat mood of the event, as members and their allies danced on the line.
The provincial mediator has called both sides to the bargaining table on Wednesday, October 17.
