After months of bargaining, a 98% strike vote, and overwhelming numbers of emails from parents, OPSEU/SEFPO members and the community sent to Peel District School Board trustees and senior administrators on their January 24 mediation date, Educational Assistants (EAs) and Designated Early Childhood Educators (DECEs) represented by OPSEU/SEFPO Local 2100 have reached a tentative agreement with their employer.

More information will be forthcoming as the details are finalized. 

In the meantime, thanks to everyone who stood with Local 2100 EAs and DECEs in their demands for safety and respect for students and for themselves!
